Dr Miri (Margaret) Raven (a Noongar-Yamatji and non-Indigenous woman from Western Australia) is a Senior Scientia Lecture, UNSW Australia, Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC); and Environment & Society (E&S) Group, Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture (ADA).

Director

Angie is an artist and director specialising in visual & participative events. She is the artistic director and founder of Trigger, an independent arts charity based in North Somerset. She is the Creative Director of The Hatchling– the world’s first flying puppet in the form of a dragon which premiered in Plymouth UK in August 2021 and led the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Angie is also the Creative Director of PoliNations, a major cultural event celebrating diversity and migration through the UK’s people and plants. Angie recently directed a mass participation performance at the opening ceremony for Manchester International Festival 2023. She is the winner of the Creative Producer Arts Foundation Award. She is on the board for Theatre Royal Plymouth and London Area Council, Arts Council England.

Designer

Bronia been designing sets and costumes for theatre, opera, dance and pop music performances since 2003. She trained in design on the Motley Theatre Design Course and has a degree in Theatre Studies from Kent University. She is currently the head of design at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Bronia was associate designer with Es Devlin for over ten years and worked on many shows — from the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games and stadium pop music shows to numerous operas around the world plus plays for the Royal Court, Complicite and the Donmar Warehouse among many others.

Performer

Flick has performed and directed nationally and internationally. She has collaborated with small to large scale companies in the outdoor arts world for over thirty years. Her performances are multi-disciplinary and often comedic, most recently playing a character within HMS Pinafore for the English National Opera. She created a one woman show ‘Horse’ which toured festivals in the UK and Australia. Lately she has been diversifying into ecological art, creating pieces in the landscape relating to inter connected systems in the context of the ecological crisis. She undertook a residency in Sri Lanka, Sura Medura, exhibiting at the Colombo Arts Council Festival for Human Rights. She has also been commissioned by Inside Out Dorset Festival, creating a piece ‘Hides’ in response to migratory birds and humans in the context of climate. She has recently completed a masters in Arts and Ecology at Dartington affiliated with Plymouth University.

Composer and Sound Designer

George is a composer and sound designer for a range of contexts including TV, Film, Theatre and Dance. Combining his musical talents with his technical Audio Engineering background, he has created immersive soundscapes for Trigger's 'TEABREAK', and 'GROUND' projects, while he will join the team to adapt the show for 'The Hatchling' this summer. His music is featured regularly across the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the NBC, while he has also scored a range of feature films. Outside of bespoke commissions, George has his own solo music project supported by the likes of BBC Introducing and featured on multiple Spotify 'Fresh Finds Jazz' editorial playlists, that he performs live with his 7 piece band. He has been awarded funding from Youth Music and Arts Council, as well as receiving a nomination at the 2023 Youth Music Awards.

Production Manager

Jay is a Production Manager, Designer/Maker, Installation Artist and Performer with over 25 years experience specializing in immersive, multi art form performance and installation work. Trained at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama (acting and performance 1999 – 2002), Jay has since worked extensively in site specific theatre and installation artwork touring work both at home and internationally to a wide range of theatre, non theatre and festival venues and across Europe with the Without Walls and In Situ networks. He has been resident at Bristol Pervasive Media Studio, Academy of innovation and research at Falmouth University and is currently a Production Manager for Kaleider Ltd and Trigger Ltd.

Deviser and Dramaturg

Gemma is an artist living in Bristol, UK. She works as a theatre maker, dramaturg, performer and educator. As co-director of internationally renowned performance company Action Hero, she co-created and toured worldwide to critical and popular acclaim. She has taught at post-graduate level at some of the world’s leading institutions for theatre training, and frequently works as a mentor, dramaturg and facilitator for other artists. Most recently, she won an Off West End award for her performance in The Talent, which sold out its Edinburgh run and continues to tour.
